I wanna be like them too

For the past few days, I have been seeing these videos some of friends share on Facebook.

O really wanted to watch them but there was always something that stopped me.

Only today did I manage to watch these videos.

I don't know how to describe my feelings after watching the first video about Wardina. It struck me to think and think and think up until now, at 3 am in the morning.

It was around 6 something pm when I was preparing for Iftar and I took a quick breather and sit in front of my laptop and browse through my news feed when I suddenly saw these videos.

I played and watched it and half way through, there were suddenly tears in my eyes. I immediately pulled myself together because I didn't wanna be seen with tears in front of my sisters who were all here today for Iftar together.

I could relate to all the stories shared by the three personalities. There are so much that I've been missing out in life. Too much worldly stuffs have been going on in my mind and in my life all this while.

And it scares me. It truly scares me. There were so many things which I shouldn't have done but I did. I could relate to the stories they shared in the videos and I found the similarities with them. The mistakes I made, all the sins I committed, the solah I missed!

Ya Allah! The superficial happiness and joy I was and have always been after. It will never end. I wish I could tell you all the things I did before but I am too ashamed of my self. I should be ashamed. I've been wrong with many people, my parents, my family, my friends, and most importantly, with ALLAH. Malu dengan ALLAH. Ya Allah!

But, like what Wardina said in the video, I don't wanna be among the people who will NEVER, NEVER EVER be shown the right path. I don't want to continually be IGNORANT and LOST.

But it's easily said than done. This is what scares me. I am afraid I may not be strong enough and I falter along the way. I don't wanna be the same person I am now or I was before. I want to be a BETTER person like them too.

But how do I begin?

Am I going to be as lucky as them who are now shown the right path?

I need the strength and I need the support too.

Nevertheless, I believe every single one of us can change. I can change. Change for the better. I will not say time will tell and determine when I will change.It has to start now. I need a strong will power to change. It's probably NOW or NEVER.

One step at time, Amir. One step at a time!

I always love Junkyard Sales/ Car boot sales/ Flea market or whatever you call it. Or even bundle, as it is famously known here in Malaysia.

Some people may not like it due to the fact that they are selling some used stuffs or some no-longer-wanted possessions and tend to go euuuw at it. I once thought the same too. I find it kinda funny and strange to be buying some other people's stuffs.

But now, I find it really interesting because I don't see any harm or reason not to buy these secondhand items and goods especially if they are still in a good condition. In fact, you can sometimes find some really interesting items you've always wanted at a really affordable price.

When I was at Urbanscapes last month, I saw lots of vendors selling secondhand goods and I was thinking to myself that it would be really interesting if I get to open a booth or a stall selling my stuffs I wanna let go. This is because I have lots of things to let go especially my clothes. *One of the many reasons is I cannot fit into them anymore. Sigh*

All of them are still in good condition and some of them are used only for a few times.

There are Topman (which used to be my favorite brand. I will write more of that in the next pos), Zara, Guess, Padini and a few others. My sister also has lots of things to let go. So, I was thinking that It would be really nice if I could open a booth selling all of these goods.

But then I wonder, where would it be? Hahaha

There are some daily night market and weekly flea market here in Ipoh and I am considering of opening a booth there. Interesting kan? Nay? Heeee

I also had the idea of just selling off all of these clothes to my cousin who happens to have a bundle store recently opened here in Ipoh.

Am still contemplating because I don't see any reason of keeping all of these clothes anymore. I have very limited space in the closet and I now have no space to put my clothes anymore. T_T'''

I am gonna share pictures of the things I wanna let go here in my blog in the next post.

If anyone of you who happens to read my blog and is interested in any of the stuffs I am letting go, you can just drop a comment in the post. I promise the pictures will be up by Monday next week.

Value of Money

Sometimes all it takes for somebody to really understand the value of money is to experience the life of people who are living in poverty and such devastation of life and, in fact some who live below the poverty level.

I must admit that I sometimes live life like there's no tomorrow.

Without even seriously thinking, I sometimes spend money like it grows on tree.They don't.

I have so many blessings and I realize how fortunate I am to have the life I live now. Therefore, I should never take anything for granted.

Everyone just gotta see more of the other side of life cos you'll never know the possibilities of what our life could be. We don't wanna end up regretting what we do, do we?

We must really understand the value of money and hard work.

I myself must learn to value and appreciate more of what I have.

50cents may seem so small to me and you and you and you, but it means so much to somebody out there.

I hope I will constantly be reminded of this. InsyaAllah.

Malaysia's super-blogger, the pioneer to this whole blogging scene in Malaysia, Miss Joyce Wong aka KinkyBlueFairy had actually put a link to my Urbanscapes 2011 in her blogspost on Urbanscapes.

My picture with her was also featured in her post. *blushes*

I was really honored to be featured in her blog, although it was only a little tiny mention in that post.

The more exciting thing to me is I was shocked to have received almost 500 views for that post itself!

Isn't that awesome?

I mean just imagine how huge of a blogger she is that because of that link in that post, I received readers from not just Malaysia but from so many other countries and places which I sometimes have no idea where that is.

No surprise that bloggers can be such influential people. A simple example, BryanBoy.

Money doesn't come easy, baby.

Now that I have finished my 6-long-year studies, I am starting to think about what to do next.

Everyday, I keep thinking about my future, the possibilities and many other things.

Or maybe I just over-think things? Maybe.

For the past 6 years, I lived kinda lavishly because I was studying under government scholarship which I consider quite sum of money. And I didn't quite really understand the hardship of earning money because it was given to me every semester. And my parents also sometimes gave me pocket money. I was really lucky. I felt really blessed and grateful.

But when it is now over, here comes the real life where you are on your own. No one is giving you money anymore.

Let me rephrase that.

No more scholarship received every 6 month like how it used to be, but my parents still give me money. But, I feel so embarrassed to receive money from them anymore. They know I haven't started working and I don't have money to live on. But hey, I am a soon-to-be 24-year-old chap, and I still receive money from my parents? No, that ain't cool to me at all!

Every now and then, I got to thinking, "For the past 24 years of living, what have I possessed so far?"

I realized that I basically have nothing but myself. Absolutely nothing of my own. Put aside what my parents give me. I basically have nothing. Nothing.

And it makes me to think that I have been enjoying myself a little too much that I forget about the future. And now, as I am moving towards a new beginning, a beginning of another stage in my life, I finally come to my sense that there are so much responsibilities I need to think about, that there's so much for me to do, not just for myself but for people around me.

And every time I think about responsibilities, I will think about money.

Money is definitely not everything (this may sound cheesy, but whatever), but you need money for almost possibly anything these days (that includes my retail therapy,hahaha).

It's been almost 2 months since everything was over and done with and just so you know, I haven't started working as a real teacher. I don't know what the real deal is nor do I have no idea to whatever causes this delay in our posting.

I am not bored, I am just restless sitting around doing basically nothing. (If the "doing nothing" can give me money, I wouldn't mind it at all). It brings more harm than good (one of it is, I am gaining crazy weight and I am super fat now).

So I thought, I need to start looking for a job. Yes, I need to work.

Work => money => can buy stuffs

I definitely would love to enjoy this long holidays before my career as a teacher starts and takes away this wonderful life I have.

But I can't. In order to survive, one needs money, and I need money. I realize money doesn't come easy and you need to work hard to earn money. Hence, here I am now. Working and still looking for other jobs so I can get more money.

No, I am not money-minded nor am I materialistic.

I just have lots of things in my mind and that these "things" require money for me to realize them.

It's nothing fun like that, it's a part of my plans towards becoming a responsible adult.

Now I know how hard it is to get money. HARD EARNED MONEY, as they say.

Key word, HARD!

Money doesn't fall from the sky, Amir. It doesn't! Wake up!

YES! I am all grown-up now and I know my responsibilities!(though sometimes I act like a little childish bitch, but hey, there's always a little child in everybody)

I am actually working now, and I am probably starting my second job next month. Wish me luck people!

I don't know what future has in store for me but I surely hope that it's gonna be all sweet and beautiful for me. :)

How often do you wash your jeans?

This just came to my mind randomly when I was putting on my jeans just now.

Boys being boys (boy lagi ke aku ni masalahnya? haha), I don't wash my jeans like every time after I wear it. I will be washing them only after I use like 5 times, or more than that.

Disgusting much? Hahahahaha. Sorry for that.

But it's true. To me, the longer you let your jeans stay unwashed, the more comfortable it will be to wear them. I mean, really. No kidding. That's how I feel. At least to me, not generally.

I have a few pair of jeans in my closet but the one that I really love is the Levis jeans I bought over 4 years ago.

I just couldn't believe that I have had this jeans for that long period of time and I am still wearing and loving it like the first day I bought it. (even though it's a little ketat these days,arghhh!)

I don't know about girls but some of my guy friends said the same thing too.

Their jeans will feel more comfortable when it is worn many times without washing them.

Does it apply to you, people out there, the masses in general too?

Is it the last Transformers?

I just got back from watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

I know. Call me so yesterday, call me lame. I just got to watch it. So what?

It's been a while actually since I last watched movies in cinema. Not really a movie person. Another reason why it took me so long to watch Transformers.

Today, I was really bored. I didn't know what to do. So I made the decision to go out and catch the movie while I can. I know it's an awesome movie. I never missed the previous two Transformers movies and that really pushed me to go watch this one though as I said, I always dread going for movies.

Anyhoo, for God knows why, I got a little emotional today while watching Transformers. I know I have this catharsis syndrome in me but you might ask, Transformers? Cried? Really?

Yes. I wasn't like sobbing like booohooohoooohoooo like that, no, of course not. That would make me a weirdo and that might just freak the people around me in the cinema out.

I don't know but somehow I felt emotional about it. Maybe because that will be the last movie for the Transformers franchise? Is it? Or is it not?

I hope it's not. Or is it confirmed already?

If anyone knows, do have some mercy to inform me okay.

The movie was awesome as usual. The new girl was HOT! Seen her before from Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and she is hot. Don't care if her acting sucks, but she is hot hot hot.

Why do I like Transformers?

Simply because I love the actions that go on in the movie. They're always heart-pumping and it gets my adrenalin pumping! Love the robots! Cool!

No matter how horrible the storyline and acting is, that would not matter to me cos I love the robots-fighting -scene and the actions shown in the movie.

I didn't watch it on 3D just now but I wonder how super awesome It would be like on 3D! Maybe I can watch again one more time, perhaps? Heeeeeeeee

For those who haven't watched Transformers and not a fan of the franchise, I feel sorry for you! Hahahaha

Urbanscapes 2011

Yeay! I am no longer Urbanscapes-virgin! Hahahahaah

As I mentioned in my previous post, I finally went to my first ever Urbanscapes. I've been wanting to go to Urbanscapes since it started a few years back and this year was my lucky year.

I was really lucky that I won the tickets from the contest on JoyceTheFairy's blog, KinkyBlueFairy. I was really glad that I could even make it to Urbanscapes which I thought I couldn't in the beginning. I basically couldn't pick up the tickets before Friday which I was supposed to from Freeform office somewhere in Petaling Jaya. But the fact that I am from Perak, I wouldn't be able to collect the tix and I had no friends who could do it for me too.

So I thought my dream of going to Urbanscapes was over. But, it was really nice of Joyce to inform me that if I was really coming, she would collect the tix and pass it to me on that Saturday itself. Of course I would say yes. It was really kind+nice+sweet+thoughtful of her to do that for me and I feel the love. So, yes, she did and we met today for the first time. Oh my God let me know, she is so pretty and CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I am not exaggerating! She indeed is! For those who have never met her, I am not lying and you've gotta see her in the flesh. She is so petite and arghhh, she is so pretty! PERIOD!

She is pretty+cute and I am so fat. So please ignore me. T_T'''

Okay, I gotta stop talking about her. No wait. I just gotta say I am so happy to finally meet her cos I have been following her blog since 4 years ago and it was like a dream come true as well to finally see the person I always read about and see on her blog all this while. I was completely startsruck!

Okay. Now, move on to what went down today. I was actually with a great company today, my best friend! It was really nice to get to hang out with him after so long.

We took a bus to KL, thinking that it would be easier to move around with public transporation. We took off from Ipoh as early as 7.30 in the morning. Talk about how excited I was to go to KL for Urbanscapes. I actually dragged my friend out of his bed to go out that early! Hahaha

As we reached KL earlier than we should, we decided to walk around Bukit Bintang area since I have not been there for over a year since I left university for JB. Man I tell you, Bukit Bintang has changed tremendously. The last time I was there, Farrenheit and so many things were still under construction and now Bukit Bintang looks super chic!

The one that got my attention most was this place called Sephora. The building looks super chic I*L-O-V-E*I-T!

Earlier that day, I tweeted Joyce and asked her at what time she would be at Urbanscapes and she said she'd be there at 3. My tickets were with her so I could only get in once I got the tickets from her. To kill time, we walked into Pavilion, had our lunch and some window shopping. I'm not in a state where I have the money to spend for shopping, so it really hurt to see stuffs sold real cheap for as low as 70% off. *Sob sob*

Since I didn't wanna be late for my first meeting with Joyce, we decided to head down earlier to Padang Astaka, PJ where Urbanscapes took place this year.

Joyce was a little late, but it was alright. Anything for her. It was really kind of her to collect the tickets for me and it didn't really matter having to wait for her for a little while. After all, she is a super-blogger I adore. Daaaa. I didn't mind waiting.

So, we lepak and sit under the tree and saw loads of people coming in. More and more and more people coming. I was really excited to look at the crowd. It was really happening.

The ticket counter which I didn't have to go through cos I had my tickets for free! Bluek :p

I think this year's venue was bigger than the previous ones in KLPAC. Hence, loads more tents and boots and stalls! Awesome!

Can you spot Joyce? NO!!! I didn't stalk or follow her all the way,alright!

Apart from all these booths selling so many cool items and stuffs, they also had like few stages for music performances by local artistes, among them were Tilu band, Liyana Fizi, Najwa just to name a few. That's what Urbanscapes is all about, creative arts and music is art.

Everything was basically under one roof. Urbanscapes brings to you all sort of things in one event. They even had this Zapin flashmob by Aswara. Cool! I wanted to join but was so really shy. Heeeee

And not forgetting some spontaneous funny sketch comedy by these famous actors I forgot their names. So bad of me. Sorry. :)

It was definitely a day filled with fun, joy, excitement and loads of activities that attract so many different people.

Nice weather, though it was a bit drizzling just for a nano second when I first came but turned out alright and real HOT after that. Felt like summer. LOL

And also bumped into some familiar faces and celebrities like Henry Golding, Hansen Lee, Mingtdabomb, Jezmineblossom and a few others.

I enjoyed it so much even though I had to leave early.

It was a really nice and fun experience.

It's probably going to be my first and last Urbanscapes.

But, at least I can proudly say that I have been to Urbanscapes!

I LOVE online contest

You know online contest?

If you don't, you are just an utterly dumb moron. Hahaha :p

I love online contest because it allows people like me to win so many cool prizes and invites to cool events.

I never win anything so big I can boast about so far.

But yeah, I have won a few invites to cool events which none I could ever make it to. Sigh

Yes, apart from following the blogs which I love reading, I am always excited about the variety of contest these bloggers have on their blogs. Especially the ones that require very minimal effort from me to win them. Heeeeeee

I never won gifts or money or anything like that but as far as I could remember, I had won a few invites from different bloggers.

Among them were from Amanda Choe aka Panda's TOOC, Niki Cheong's blog (in which my picture was featured in his blog too) and the latest one was from JoyceTheFairy's kinkybluefairy.

The first two invites were really cool but unfortunately, I couldn't make it to both of the events.

But this one from JoyceTheFairy is the one I'm most excited about because I am going to this event!!!
Anyhoo, I actually won a pair of tickets for Urbanscapes 2011. I've always wanted to go to Urbanscapes but I never had a chance to. However, I am not going to miss it again this year because I have the free tickets with me! Yeay!

Looking forward to being there, enjoying all the great fun activities, seeing so many artsy exhibition, variety of booths and performances from our local acts and of course meeting loads of bloggers whose blogs I follow especially Joyce.

Speaking about online contest or any other contest for that matter, I always envy people who are always so very lucky to win awesome prizes like thousands of cash prizes, gadgets, cars, blah blah blah. I wonder how happy I can be if I were them.

I guess they put much more effort than I always do. Heeeeee.

Yes, I am now determined to try out as many contests be it online contests or those in the newspapers. Who knows one fine day, lady luck might be on my side and I win something big this time. Yeay.

Oh my God, it's been a while since I last updated. It's not even a while. It's been like forever, I reckon.
I am not gonna say I am that busy though cos obviously I have finished my studies and everything I am obligated to do.
I am a free man, basically.
It's just that I don't know what to write.
I guess my life is too boring to the point where I have nothing interesting to share here.
In fact, I am back in my hometown where the internet connection is really limited.
My Celcom broadband does not work magically here like how it does in other places.
I am only connected to the world via my lovely BlackBerry. Thank God for it. Hence, the lack of updates too.
The only thing that gets me connected is my Twitter and Facebook. Sigh

Sometimes, I ask myself, how long am I going to blog after this?
If you ask me, I do not know how to answer that. I don't have any answer to that because I blog whenever I feel like to. It's not something that I MUST do everyday. I don't get paid for blogging or do I work as a full-time blogger.
So , I guess this blog will exist as long as I am alive, I suppose.I love this blog,so I will not terminate this blog. At least, for now.

And also today, I decided to open this blog for public, for everyone to read.For over a year I kept it low key and private, I guess it's time for me to let it open back for public.
There's nothing interesting about this blog though, so feel free to drop by and read this humble blog and feel free to drop a comment or two.

I guess that's all for now. Just so know, I am now a jobless man whose future is still shady and unknown. I am still waiting for the result, where I would be sent to teach after this. This ain't kiddy thing cos this time around, it is for real. Wish me all the best of luck. I am still wishing it's gonna be Perak but who knows what future holds. Rest in peace, Al-Fatihah

I couldn't believe that I would be so attached to my students in a very short period of time.

I was teaching in their school for hardly 3 months but it felt like I have been teaching them like forever.

I was lucky to get a such great school for my practicum and one of the things I liked best there was the cheer-leading squad. There are called Ignite All-Boys, and as the name suggests, yes, they are all-boys. Boys cheer-leading? Yes. And the girls squad has been in some way banned by the school.

Anyhoo, I didn't intend to talk about my involvement and participation in the cheer-leading squad (maybe in the next blogpost perhaps). However, I am here to write about one sad story about one of the cheerleaders, Aizat Akmal. He just passed away a couple of hours ago after being in a coma for over a week due to an accident involving him and the other two cheerleaders.

Just to cut the story short, he had a concussion in his head which apparently was bad and after an operation, he still couldn't get up and be in a conscious state of mind. So today, 8th of June, is the day where he leaves us all.

I was not really close to him throughout my involvement with the team but I knew him. He was the quite type and I remember the first time I met him in the library where I actually said Hi to him and asked him about the book he read. I thought he was a Chinese because he was reading some Chinese book or something but apparently he wasn't. That was my first encounter with him in the school until I got to know him from the cheer-leading team.

It is really sad. Really is. You left us a day before your birthday Kecik, 9th of June. That makes it even more sad. I am actually going to see all the boys on the 18th of June in KL for the Finals of S.O.X Drum and Dance competition which the group is taking part in. But he will not be there.

These kids are really close to me and they are close and dearest to my heart. I felt bad that I would not be able to visit him in the hospital for the very last time. I was not in JB. But I believe Allah loves him even more and He had a greater and bigger plan for him.

Everyone is mourning for the loss and all I can do now it to pray for him. I will always remember this kid. He was a great kid and may he rest in peace. May Allah bless him and his soul. Rest in peace, Kecik. :'(

Everyday M Shufflin'!

I am into shufflin' now!

But I just can't do it!

I need someone to teach me how to because the shuffling' in this music video of LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem looks uber cool I wanna do it too!

I was really impressed with my student's showcase of their shufflin' skill during the Teacher's day celebration a couple of week ago that I wanna try it too!

Please somebody teach me how to do it!

Or am I just too old too late for all this?

It's okay, if that's so, then I will just enjoy and pretend I am shuffling in my own little imagination!

Modelling aint that easy!

I now know why I am going to be a teacher instead of a model.

And to those of you who are still aspiring to be a model, I am not saying you can't.

Yes, you can and modelling probably suits you alright.

But it surely is not my thing.

I simply cannot be a model!

It's difficult, I tell you.

How would I know? Did I just model for CK or Emporio Armani?

That's just too ambitious. TOPMAN perhaps?

No! Hell NO! I would have told the whole entire world if I get that opportunity! daaaa

What exactly went down was, on the very last Sunday I was in college, my friends and I went out for some outing. We went to Istana Garden which I was dying to go and man, it was beautiful there.

What happened was they decided to have sorta a little photo shoot and I happened to be one of the models.

It was really embarrassing because there were loads of people there.

But I had to toughen myself up, thinking that "This is how a real model works, so I'm gonna do it like how it's done." Hahaha.

My two other friends were like professional models, striking their poses and I was like this little tiny "I'm so shy but I wanna be a model" model. Hahaha.

And Mr. Cameraman kept commenting that my face was emotionless that I kept giving the same expression in almost all pictures he snapped! That was awful! Argh!

From that moment, I know I am not model material and America's Next Top Model ain't no easy as I thought it was!

Wonder how my awful photos look like? Ok, don't say I didn't warn you that they are awful and you may just laugh your ass off if you want and worst yet, barf! hahahahaha

They are not that bad, right? Please tell me it is so! Arghhh

I have come to a realization that modeling ain't really my thing and I am just gonna stick to what I do best. Hahahaha

And to all model wannabes, I wish you all the best. You guys must indeed have some abso-fabu-lutely awesome skills in modelling! All the best!

Yes, I survived!

Y'all should already know by now that I am a teacher-to-be.

For the past 3 months, I have been really busy undergoing my teaching practice, hence the lack of updates.

Now, everything is over.

How did I fare? Did I enjoy myself in school or did I end up punching my students? Hahahaha.

Of course the answer is YES! I mean, NO, I did NOT punch any of my students.

YES, I enjoyed being in school for the 3 months there. Had a blast and wonderful time at the school. The students were real awesome and they were really nice to me. The teachers were friendly and awesome too although some were not. Heck. With countless kilometers-long lesson plans and stuffs I had to do,again, who knew I would survive the 3-month practicum, right?

Will I make an awesome teacher? I don't know because teaching practice/praticum ain't nothing like the real teaching. Practicum teachers ain't nothing like the real-working teachers. That's what I know for sure.

So, this coming July will be the most anticipated awaited month ever as I will find out where I would be posted in. I will keep praying and hoping and wishing that I will be posted somewhere near my house. That's what I wish for.

So, let's together patiently wait for July to come. But before that, I will enjoy my over a month holiday before the real working begins for me.

The long 6 years is actually over...

I remember when I first started my studies at IPGKTI. That was 6 years ago and it was MPTI back then. I was complaining and grumbling over the fact that I had to go through 6 long years just to get myself a degree. And now, it's actually over.

So much went on, I went through so many things, ups and downs, thick and thin, everything. Be it in IPGKTI or UPM, I would never ask for anything better. I have grown up so much in these 6 years with all my friends and course-mates. It was probably one of the best phases in my life. I would never ask for more and I would not also ask to be doing it all over again because I know it's never going to happen. But I am truly blessed and I am lucky to have known some special people in my life. There are so many of them that I cannot list their names here. But you always know who you are. <3

There are so many different memories. The good ones or the so-not-interesting I had throughout the 6 years. The beautiful memories ones are just so many and they are the ones I am going to miss so much. You know, the little things like going out with friends for dinner or lunch, hanging out at night market, spending time,hours and hours talking and chatting away, these are the things I am going to miss doing. I may not get to do these things over again.

I have no much words to say about this anymore. One thing I know for sure, this is not the end, this is just the beginning of something better and bigger for me. Bigger responsibilities and better life perhaps. I am moving into another chapter of life. I don't know what future holds for me, but I will always pray, hope and wish for the best for me and my family.

And to all friends and acquaintances I got to know throughout these 6 years, I am going to miss all of you ~~although there are some course-mates I wish I did not even know and I would not even want to remember~~ especially those closest and dearest to me. You all know you will always be in my heart.

O my! It's been ages since I last updated. And this is my first entry in February! What a bad bad person I am!
Been busy for the past few weeks especially now when my practicum or my teaching practice has started, my life is sorta taken from me. I feel so bad!

I know I would not be able to update as much as I want here. But heck. This blog will not and never be forgotten.

Emmm, there's so much to write but I don't know where to begin as always. Everything seems to be so cluttered and messed up! I hate it!

TOPMAN Slim Fit Blazer

I was ONE HAPPY person yesterday! *happydance*

Before that, I am actually back at home now. Just arrived around 4 something and it was a fun journey from JB with Farah, Dharmini and Ed. It was an awesome trip although I actually slept almost throughout the whole entire journey. Such useless me. Hahaha

Anyhoo, why was I happy?

I did not get myself a MacBook Pro or a brand new iPhone4 or iPad or what! NO! I couldn't afford those.

I am not Kamarul, okay! *pun intended* LOL

But yeah, I did purchase something which I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

I have been meaning to get myself a nice casual jacket/ blazer but they are no cheap, you know.

So yesterday, I went to Jusco Tebrau with Azhar and Kamarul, the proud owner of MacBook Pro, to look for some good stuffs I could get for myself. Apprently, my hands itched so badly for the past few days since my allowance was in. Obviously, I needed to get something for myself and I did.

I walked into TOPMAN store, which is the must-visit store for me in Jusco Tebrau.

Yes! I am a TOPMAN whore? So? Hahaha

So, I initially planned to get myself a nice formal office wear button down shirt from TOPMAN. But the one I wanted was not available in my size. So, I decided not to buy it here and will check them out in KL instead.

While I was browsing through some new pieces and collections at the store, I immediately saw this beautiful blazer which I always wanted to have.

I went to reach for it and to my surprise, it was on sale.

You know how normally when some items are on sale, you can hardly get them perfectly in your size because they are all taken?

But NO! This blazer I was looking at was perfectly my size, an M size that is.

And to add to that, I had more reason to buy it because the original price of rm369 was reduced to rm149.

Could you die? Yes, I could and that was why, without second thought, I grabbed the blazer, tried it out and brought to the counter and paid for it!

Yes, I just purchased an RM149 blazer! *happyface*

I like the detail of white lining on the pocket.

I like it that it has a few pockets inside

I didn't even hesitate to get this one because it was effin cheap. Who, in their right mind, would not want to buy this when the price was reduced rm220 from the original price?

Definitely a best buy for me this month! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I had a little conversation with a friend who came over to my room last night.

Out of nowhere, we suddenly were talking about some FASHION-related stuffs.

I didn't know how that came about because I was actually busy doing some work and suddenly the topic popped out.

Everyone knows how obsessed I am with the brand TOPMAN.

I have almost everything TOPMAN.

So we were talking a little bit about why and how much I love the brand.

But a little something that really got my attention during the conversation was when this friend of mine told me that he was kinda concerned about what he was wearing.

He was, or maybe still is concerned about how people perceive himself by what he wears.
I find that ridiculous!

He told me he bought a T-Shirt from TOPMAN and he only wore it like once/twice (I couldn't really remember) before he gave it to a friend.

People commented that he looked so GAY (not GAY as in HAPPY, but GAY as in HOMOSEXUAL) when he wore the t-shirt. (the t-shirt had a bit of a pink stitch/lining or whatever you call it on the neck, YUCKS).

Maybe it's the pink thing on the neck or something, blame the fugly ugly PINK (I am not really a PINK fan), but I personally think that NO ONE should be judged or perceived by others for what they wear.

That is so BLOODY ridiculous because you are not defined by what you wear, TO A CERTAIN DEGREE of course.

But in my friend's ridiculously-it-really-irritates-me story, I could not really agree with how people around him made such a remark about the innocent t-shirt he had on.

I know the pink thing could, in some way, get on my nerves too but heck, the t-shirt is so fine to me.

I have a similar t-shirt too (without the PINK thing on the neck, of course), so it really bothered me when people said stuffs like that about the t-shirt because I own one and I dig it.

The V-neck like t-shirt with some buttons on it is pretty much one of the t-shirts I like wearing because it is so comfortable.

This is the similar t-shirt I was talking about. I am in all TOPMAN head to toe.

And FYI, I have so many different t-shirts from TOPMAN too.

So, does it mean that all this while, I looked so effing GAYish when I was wearing them without anyone telling me?

For those who think so, FUCK YOU and GET A LIFE!

I mean, it's just a fucking t-shirt. So, what's a big deal about it?

I don't know for whatever reasons would such MONKEYS make such comments about the t-shirt but heck, you are absoBLOODYlutely wrong!

If you think I am gonna stop wearing or probably hand it over to somebody else, I won't.

Because I don't see anything wrong with my wearing that kind of t-shirts.

For people out there, don't bother. Just wear whatever you feel like to, as long as it is decent, looks good on you, doesn't show too much skin, covers up for the girls especially for the Muslim girls, age appropriate and most importantly, you feel COMFORTABLE and good in them.

For the suckers, SCREW them! They are just a bunch of friggin losers.

And as for my LOVE for TOPMAN, it will be pretty much the same.

Go-kart

I had the most enjoyable moment during the final week of 2010.
What a great way to end the beautiful year with my family.
We had the most fun time playing Go kart in Manjung.
I have to be honest here that I didn't actually play.
Not because I was scared but I was hesitant to get myself into that small car.
After the bad accident I was involved in two years ago, I always have this little phobia of fast moving cars, though I like watching them going fast on the track.

Anyways, let's not talk about me me now.
We actually had this sorta little competition that my father sorta held for the children and grandchildren.
My father is such a racer, I tell you.
Even at the age of 68 years old, he still is passionate about racing, hence the little Go-Kart competition.

I couldn't remember how many laps they raced for but I was pretty bored waiting for it to finish.

It was definitely a fun enjoyable affair with the whole family. It's been a while since we last did this kind of thing together. Too bad two of my sisters couldn't make it to this event. But, there's always a next time, right? Hehehe :)

First post in TWO ZERO ONE ONE from JB

I think I was among the first to come back to IPGKTI this semester.

Not that I was that excited about coming back here.

But, I don't know. Fate brought me here today. Hahahahaahahaha.

I would normally be the last person to come back but today was slightly different.
Maybe because I was following Farah today in her car, so here I am, a lonely boy, stranded in a place, on a land, unfamiliar to him, all alone without people he loves, away from home, missing everyone and everything.

Argh, I couldn't take it. Perhaps, it was still early and the two month holidays made it slightly difficult for me to adapt myself to this place again, for the very LAST time, I guarantee you.

This is among the moments I wish time would fly as fast as it could.

There's no other place I wanna be at right now but HOME.

Very typical of me especially when the new semester begins.

Only a few months left before I wrap the whole thing up, get everything over and done with, and pray hard to Allah that I get posted back to my hometown, so I can be in a place where my heart is, HOME SWEET HOME.

Just so you know, 2011 will be one hell of a big year for me.

I am going out for my practicum/teaching practice for the very first time in my six years of studying as a future TESL teacher. ~that's gonna be a tough one, with no doubt at all. Gotta pass in order to graduate~

I am gonna get the hell out of this place in JUNE! ~look forward to that~

Which also means that I am gonna graduate soon after that. ~yeay, graduation day~

I am gonna start working in July.

Everything is HUGE this year! Definitely not gonna be an easy merry year for me.

But after all, this is what I signed up for, right? Hahaha, serve me right!

Room is still a mess, waiting for people to come and take their stuffs out of my room. My room was the store room last semester for these people to keep in their things during the holidays. Quite a bummer, the room looks as if it just got hit by a hurricane. Stuffs, boxes, clothes, lying around everywhere in every part and inch of my room. Couldn't care, so long I have my own bed to myself to sleep soundly and comfortably tonight, everything is fine with me.

Argh, so much to think about I am so tired. Cannot go one! Cannot take it anymore.

Must go to sleep and rest.

After the long journey today, I need a good nice long rest and sleep tonight.

That's how my 1st of JANUARY 2011 was/ is like.

Argh! I am missing HOME so badly right now!

I am going to quietly cry on my ugly bed tonight, wishing I was HOME instead of here!

Aquaria KLCC

During my visit to KL recently, I had the opportunity to visit Aquaria KLCC.

I may be so 2000 late but heck, I at least made my way there.

I know some of my friends had been there and I was quite thrilled and excited to witness myself the beautiful sea creatures. Just thinking about being "underwater", immersed in the water world, it got me very excited already.

So, we bought the ticket, it was expensive but it was worth every cent paid cos I do understand the kind of maintenance needed for this large aquarium.

The truth is I am not THAT interested in seeing fishes or anything like that but being a Malaysian myself, it's kind of odd that after so long, only now did I get to be here. At least, if any foreigner or tourist ever comes up to me and asks me about it, at least I do have some ideas about what that place is about, right?

But yes, it was great to get to visit such new places especially when everything was all paid for. Thanks big sis! Hahahaha

Anyways, I don't know what to write about Aquaria KLCC but one thing for sure, it is a must-see place, I guarantee you. Having visited Aquaria KLCC makes me want to visit the Underwater World in Langkawi, which I heard wayyyyyy bigger than this one. EXCITED!!!

As I said, I have nothing interesting to share cos y'all know there are nothing but fishes, sea creatures and lots of FISHES!

I forgot its name but God knows what he's doing in Aquaria.

And oh yeah, if there was one thing that really got me jump up and down about going to Aquaria, it definitely was the walk-through tunnel tank!

I have been wanting to go down "under the water" and yes, it was so COOL!

I also heard the one in Underwater World Langkawi is bigger than this one, and yes, that's gonna be another good reason to go visit Langkawi soon. Hehehehe

Is it a shark? I don't know. Don't ask me.

My favorite, this giant stingray which is 1.8m long and can grow up to 3.3m!

I get goosebumps at times when I look at this.

Remember during World Cup where there was this huge commotion and buzz about this octopus?

Yes, I managed to see one real life octopus y'all!

Can you see it? No?

Yes, you could hardly see it because it was hiding in that pot! Shy much? :p

And you all know it's Christmas time, so they had this big Christmas tree put up there too.

One interesting part of our visit was the little demonstration of fish feeding. We were so lucky that we were there just in time for the fish-feding session.

They had this little auditorium, as they call it, for the visitors to sit before it and enjoy watching demonstrators/ swimmers/ divers feeding all sort of fishes and sea creatures in the tank.

Check out the stingray, he's everywhere.

Look at the massive crowd. It's school holidays, hence...

Fishes started making their way in front of the audience. It was like they were well-trained or something.

And there were the divers carrying with them buckets of food for the fishes, turtles, stingrays and others.

Do you notice that the diver on the left was dressed as a Santa? Now Santa swims y'all!

It's so cute, right? The kids were really entertained.

What doesn't break you, makes you stronger

My exam result was released officially last Friday.

So, how did I fare?

The result was alright, everyone would definitely say that it was alright but I was dissapointed.

Why?

Because, the result did not help me to increase my CGPA, which also means that my chance and pursuit to graduate with a honors first class degree is over! It's over! And I felt so bad.

People asked me, why is it so important for you to get that? And some would say what's the point of getting very high GPA and CGPA if in the end, everyone will graduate and all become teachers with the same basic salary and job?

One answer, SELF-SATISFACTION!

It's an accomplishment, an achievement where I can proudly tell myself that I have made it. I could make it as well as the others. It's probably hard for some to really understand this but nevermind. Everyone has their own way of looking at things.

Back to my result, I didn't blame anyone for whatever I got because I believe that "you'll get what you work for". I mean, if you really put your effort into something, you'll definitely succeed. If you work hard, you will get an excellent outcome out of it. As they say, "Hard work pays off". So, there is no way that one should blame anyone for his/her failure or whatnot, right?

I started off so badly and that had ruined my whole CGPA. My first 3 semesters were horrible and it was completely all my fault because I didn't work hard enough for it. So now, I bear the consequences myself.

This is how my every semester's GPA and CGPA look like so far,

Next semester will be the last one for me. So, even if I get like a perfect 4.0 GPA next semester, that will not be enough for me to up my CGPA to reach 3.75 which is the least CGPA one needs to get to graduate with honors first class degree in UPM.

I must say I am really truly dissapointed with myself because I know if I really worked hard from the very beginning, it would have been different, slightly better perhaps.

But, I cannot turn back time. It is fated that way, so no point of complaining and regretting or resenting the past. The damage has been done and I've gotta accept it the way it is.In fact, I should be grateful to God for the blessing. And, I am for that matter. I truly really am.

I also did tell mom about it because I am doing all this for her as well. I felt as if I have disappointed her so much. But she said that she is more than happy for what I have achieved. It made me feel slightly relieved to hear that, though deep inside my heart, I am still disappointed and sad.

But, life must go on. This is not the end of everything. I believe there's so much more to come in life and I gotta get myself ready and prepared for something bigger in the future.

I don't have anything to prove to anyone. All I do is to prove to myself that I can push myself to the limit, that I can do as well as the others. That's all.

I guess, lesson learned and yeah, I look forward to what the future holds for me! :)

Dinosaurs come back alive! Arghhhh!

I know, I know, this may sound so absurd and surreal but I am not lying!

I saw it before my very own eyes, kid you not! It was not even a dream. I did see them in flesh.

They were so huge and they were so aggressive, wild and loud!

But the funny thing was, none of the dinosaurs were interested in chasing and hunting me down. That left me bewildered and confused.

Then only I suddenly realized something.

NO! I was not dreaming or hallucinating! How many times must I tell you that? Daaaa

It just hit me that I was at Pusat Sains Negara in Bukit Kiara Kuala Lumpur, watching 32 magnificent life-size dinosaurs, different types of them including a 16-feet Tyrannosaurus and a 23-feet tall Apatosaurus. Big huh?

Me, awed by the size of these dinosaurs! Haha

Arghhh!

I hate how he looked! :p

Although they might just be replicas, but let me tell you, lots of kids were frightened by these dinosaurs, including my 3 year old nephew. He kept asking is father to bring him away from the dinosaurs. It was so ironic because he was the one who was so excited about seeing these creatures. ~too much of watching Ultraman of course,daaa~

The fact that they were really moving and making real sounds of dinosaurs made these kids really afraid that some of them actually cried. Huhuhu

Note the sign, DO NOT TOUCH because they bite! Hahaha

I was just thinking to myself, what would happen if these dinosaurs were still alive?

They would eat us alive definitely! Argh!!!

So, will Ultraman come and save us? hahahahahaha, so cartoonish! LOL

This exhibition is called Dinos Alive. The same exhibition took place in Bangkok in 2006 and the Philippines in 2008 and this year, they brought all these dinosaurs to our country.

I didn't really like this one. So ugly!

I was really excited for God knows why. Hahaha. They looked kinda real though. No surprise why my nephew was so scared of them. LOL

Since it was my first time at Pusat Sains Negara, I took the chance to really explore the entire place.

Goodness me, they were so many things which I would consider too scientific, cannot go one seriously. I couldn't just figure out how certain things worked and what most of the things exhibited and showcased there were for. Obviously SCIENCE is forever not my thing. I never got A for Science subject in any of my exam.

Nevertheless, I did enjoy myself playing with some of the things there. It was fun, they were like toys. LOL

I didn't know what she's doing at Pusat Sains Negara but she was cute because she danced and sang! Just look at the microphone. LOL

And all these cuties, they danced too! LOL they were so damn cute I just gotta take pictures with them.

Pardon my sheer shameless vanity. LOL. Just FYI, this is called cloning room.

Despite the fact that I despise Science subject in school, be it Physics, Chemistry or Biology, I actually really enjoyed myself being there at Pusat Sains Negara.

So for those who do like dinosaurs and are really interested in checking those dinosaurs out, make your way down to Pusat Sains Negara. But no worries. The exhibition will only end in May 2011, so you still have a lot of time to go there. The dinosaurs will patiently wait for y'all, I believe. LOL.

End of 2010 is coming, which will also mark the beginning of 2011, a year I most dread about.

Why?

I am not going to write about it now because I have something more exciting and fun to write here.

As much as I despise being in JB, which is like so far away from my family and home, it is not all bad though. I am kinda priviliged to be studying here though because if not, I will never ever step my foot on the state of Johor. I have no relatives here, so chances are Johor will still be in my never-visit-states list.

More exciting is JB is a walk away from Singapore. Okay, that's too much of exaggerating, but it's kinda true. Singapore is just nearby. The only thing that stops us, or rather me from going is the money issue, with the currency bla bla bla. That obviously does not permit me to go Singapore as many times as I wish.

Yes, I was in Singapore last July and it was indeed a fun trip. But, I do wanna go there again next year like so badly.

And the one place I wanna go see and visit is...

Okay, it's the new iconic landmark of Singapore, which is the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. I could die if I could stay there even for just a night! ~in my dreams of course~

I read about the hotel from a blog run by the lovely Hanie Hidayah, Just Another Average Jane. She was one of the lucky bloggers who had the opportunity to stay at the hotel and she had written and shared some awesome stories and pictures of the amazing hotel.

So, what is so special about the hotel?

First of all, the building, the architecture or whatever you call it, is AMAZEBALLS. If Petronas tower in Malaysia is twins, this one is triplets.

Could you just die? The building is so fascinating to me, you can see it from afar. I just can't wait to go to Marina Bay and snap tons of pictures with this building as the background. Because that's the least I can do, I think because there is no way I can afford to stay there.

Another thing about this hotel that really takes my breath away is the Marina Bay Sands Skypark. It is located on the top of the 50-storey building and let me tell you, the scenery is breathtaking and TO DIE FOR! I could die!!!

Not forgetting, the viewing/observation deck situated on top of the third tower of Marina Bay Sands Hotel is absolutely one hot spot to chill and relax. With the beautiful view and perfect scenery of the whole Singapore City, COULD YOU DIE?

I told my sister about this hotel, and to my surprise, she had been there before during her last visit to Singapore. She was given a private tour around the hotel by her ex-staff who is currently working there. How could she not tell about it? Envy!!!

i-City Shah Alam

I have been hearing stories about i-City in Shah Alam.

People are buzzing about how beautiful the place is.

They have their pictures at i-City on Facebook and even made it as their profile pictures.

So I was wondering, is it really something so cool everyone should go see?

How awesome is the place? Is it a must see place in Malaysia right now?

I don't know. Looking at my friends' pictures on Facebook, I don't see anything special about the place. I didn't get really excited to really go and check out the place.

Since I was in KL last weekend, my sister and I decided that, why not go to see i-City ourselves.

So, we did.

I gotta say the moment I saw the sea of lights in front of my very eyes, I was kind impressed and taken by surprise to see the dazzling light showcase.

The place was huge and there were like lots and lots of lights. And with the different kind of shapes and colors, the place looked like a theme park to me, with millions of LED lights to brighten up the night.

It was drizzling when we arrived but we thought it would be just alright since we'd come all the way from KL.

I think since Christmas is just around the corner, they had this little small area where they put up like replicas of a Santa and stuffs like that.

And there was also this giant life-size replica of a giraffe that I really wanted to take picture with.

But, only after just about 10 minutes there, the drizzling rain suddenly turned to be cats and dogs. It was really unfortunate that we didn't get to see all of the stunning lights there. We managed to get only a few photos due to that.
But all in all, i-City was indeed one hell of a pretty little place to visit.

I must say that I would come here again to take more pictures and visit the entire place.

As for now, I can proudly say and tell people that I have visited i-City Shah Alam.

I have always been complaining about how fat llooking I am now.
Ok,I don't just look fat, but I am fat.
There;s no question that I am bigger especially during this holidays where you have nothing else to do but to sleep and eat almost all the time. So unproductive. oh!

When I tell my friends that "I am fat!" or "I am getting fatter" or "I look fat, don't I?", the response would definitely belike "No, you are not, you look good" or "What? No la, you are just fine for a guy your height" or occasionally "If you are fat, than what does that make me?" hahaha :p

I know I may sound ungrateful because there are so many other people out there who are still struggling with obese issues, like they are fatter, by that I mean really really fat and my body is way better than theirs.
But I just could'nt help but to always compare and look back at how I used to look like before.
For those who already me for quite some time, they would know that I was thinner back then. I was really small than I am now.

I was once 63 Kgs and that was back in 2006, end of 2006 that was and I was still looking good in 2007. But since then, I started to gain more and more weight. and now I am 72 Kilograms.

Wondering why is there no current photos of mine for comparison? Hell NO am I gonna put it up here. Hahaha.

The truth is, I want to get back my old figure, I wanna look like how I used to.

But, from the way I am eating now, constantly non stop and enjoying the holidays like nobody's business, there's no way in the world that i am going to get thinner like in these pictures. But I seriously do want to.

So I know I have got to do something, especially when I am watching The Biggest Loser Asia on TV, I know nothing is impossible when it comes to losing weight and looking good, and most importantly, staying healthy. I definitely wouldn't want to die early of over-weight related illness. I gotta start now before it's too late.

With less than a month left for this semester break, I promise to myself that I am going to really watch what I eat and be careful with what I take. And of course, not forgetting a regular work out is vital as well. I have been reading a lot on the internet about diet tips, healthy food to eat, how stay in shape and healthy and so on especially from this blog, darkbatman.com .

Everything seems easy on paper.I know it's not gonna be easy but hell, nothing comes easy in life and I know I really have to put great effort and determination. Seriously, I wanna still look good even when I am in my 30s or 40s.

But of course, I don't want to be like reaching for the stars and have some irrelevant goals. I kow I can't be like 65 kgs within a month. One step at a time, I believe. ;)

Oh, how I envy those skinny bitches out there who can eat just about anything but can never get fat.
Okay, I shouldn't complain. I am thankful and grateful for what I have. But, it never hurts to make yourself look and feel slightly better, right? Hahahaha

The Sweetness of Doing Nothing

I woke up today pretty early, earlier than how I always do during the holidays.
All because I had made a plan to go out today.

So I did.

I went to Jusco because my sister asked me to buy some stuffs for her, so I went and it didn't even occur to me that it is a public holiday today and there was a massive crowd at Jusco. It was jam-packed with people and I was struggling looking for a parking spot.

I was realy tired of driving around looking for a parking spot. What I did was, I parked the car by the road side, waited in the car,hoping that somebody would come, get their car and leave for me their parking spot. And yes, I was lucky that miracle happened. I got a parking spot, but only after waiting for almost 15 minutes. T_T'''

I actually planned to catch a movie, any movie for that matter because I was too bored, but since it is a public holiday today and people went ballistic wanting to watch movies as well, so I decided to just cancel the plan.

I went to buy the things my sister wanted and I immediately went out from Jusco because I just couldn't stand being there. There were too many people I got suffocated.

So I told myself, I didn't get to watch movie, so why not treat myself with a little something something and what's better than indulging myself in a nice yummy frozen yogurt. Hehehehe :D

I've been hearing about this one Yogurt store that sells awesome frozen yogurt and some of friends have also been talking and buzzing about tit. I googled yesterday and I found out that Tutti Frutti is available in Ipoh and it is among their first outlet open outside Klang Valley. I heard so many great and awesome feedback about the yogurt, so I wanted to give a try, and I did.

Since it was my first time there, I decided to give strawberry flavor a try. I am not sure whether or not I can mix the different flavored yogurt together but I think I could but I didn't. Hahaha.

I put some toppings on top, I paid at the counter, I sat down and Oh My Almighty! It tasted like heaven!

I am not really a big fan of yugort, but Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt is definitely one TO DIE FOR!

I am suddenly in LOVE!!!

I think I can eat 20-30-4-50 cups of them! Damn it is so good!

I like the whole concept of the store. It's so simple yet very nice and chic. Before I forget, it is a self-served store where the customers will help themselves and o everything on their own.

I am a very happy person today. Despite the chaotic moment at Jusco earlier, the frozen yogurt just made my day!

With a magazine to read in one hand, Tutti Yogurt Strawberry Field frozen yogurt in the other, could you ask for more?

Happy Birthday Adam and Azwan!

Last Saturday, we had a little birthday celebration for my two nephews. Adam's birthday was actually on the 29th of November, but since we all gathered together on the 4th, so we decided to celebrate it together with Azwan's birthday which was on the 4th. Adam just turned 3 and Azwan or rather Iwan, like how we call him, turned 15.

Both were DELICIOUS! I just died!

Why is it that I do not know how to cook?
It's unfair to me because some of my male friends can cook, in fact good cook they are.
It's baffling to me.
I know, I must have been one spoiled lazy child growing up. Hahahaha
I can hardly make myself a fried rice.
All I know is to boil water, cook instant noodles, fried eggs and that's it I think.
It's horrible, I know. I find it awful and pathetic.
I think I should start taking up a cooking lesson with my mom and sisters.
It's for my own survival too. What would happen if I am left alone at home, sick of having take-outs and processed food and fast food? I must cook for myself! Argh
It's never too late I think. Better late than never although never late is better. LOL

Now where is the frying pan, wok, ladle and fish slice and the pot? I gotta start cooking now!

A little somethin' somethin'

Last Wednesday, I received an email from Amanda Choe aka Panda, a famous blogger who runs TheOppositeOfChocolate. She gave me two tickets to go see Xplay Shout Awards pre-party held at The Library at e@Curve on Saturday, the 13th.

I was, of course, really happy and thrilled for the invites because I was not only going to enjoy the party but to also represent TOOC as a correspondent for the night. Amanda is still in Australia, finishing her final exam so she could not make it to the event and she was looking for some bloggers to represent her site for the night.

It was indeed an unfortunate event because I myself could not make my way there because I am stuck here in Ipoh, penniless and working part time. I know I was supposed to go enjoy myself, taking pictures, loads of them, rubbing shoulders with famous celebrities and famous bloggers too. Too bad I could not make it. I felt bad too because I have disappointed Amanda in some way. But, there is nothing I could do about it. It would have been awesome if I were to be there because the lineup was indeed awesome. They had Mizz Nina, Disagree, Hujan, just to name a few perform that night. it was a great miss, indeed. Sigh.

However, I am probably going for another interesting event, which is the premier of the upcoming movie "The Social Network". How cool is that? I get to see te movie before everyone else in Malaysia! For those who have never even heard bout this movie, it is about Mark Zuckerberg, the person behind Facebook, the person responsible for it.

I actually won the two invites from KinkyBlueFairy and I am really excited to meet Miss JoyceTheFairy herself in the flesh. The event will take place on 22nd of November, which is next week at GSC MidValley Megamall. There will definitely be a lot of bloggers and celebrities as well at the event. So I am gonna get my camera ready. LOL. But I haven't decided of who I am going with. But heck, I can always go alone if there is nobody else. Hahaha.

Block C is AWESOME Part 4

I am not being overly dramatic here but I am really feeling sad.
You know how happy I am staying in the hostel in the college. But, now the excitement and happiness is gradually fading away because some of the coolest friends have left the hostel and college for good. They have finally completed their studies and graduated. As much as I envy them, YES, because they finish way before us, but I feel really sad because they will no longer be with us next semester.

The rest, the others are awesome too but these guys are the first people I knew the moment I stepped and enrolled into the college. We came together, enrolled together, went through the orientation week together, but now they are leaving first.

I am personally sad because I just got a chance to get to know them real close this semester because I did not stay in Block C before. They are a bunch of great people. Syafiq, Am, Roy, Padi, Ayah Pin, just to name a few, have been great companions for this semester. it is such a new breathe of fresh air getting to know people out of my TESL circle. I suppose, would not it be because of Block C, I would not get the opportunity to know these people.

In a short period of few months, so many memories made, laughter, joy, sadness, everything we shared and it's a memory I am gonna keep and treasure my whole life. There will be less members for volleyball next semester. That's not fun at all. But heck. That's life, right? You guys are awesome and I am not going to forget you guys easily. We may be 1000 miles away from each other later but Facebook, YM, Twitter, calls and text messages will always keep us all close.

So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you so much for the friendship. I'm truly blessed and honored to have known you guys. :)

The 200th post

Exam is over and freedom is all mine now.
At least for the next 2 months. Hehe
I remember the week before the exam week, I was so worried about it but I never started study until a few days before the exam. But heck, it never got me to start studying. I don't know what went wrong but I didn't seem to be that motivated as how I was before. So, I actually went through the exam this semester with hardly no real preparation. But past is past. The damage is done and I am gonna let bygones by bygones.

Anyway anyhoo, this semester has been awesome. So many good things happened, just so many and I am truly grateful and thankful for what I have today, especially the group of friends I have. So many memories shared together and I truly appreciate the friendship. I did so many exciting things and I couldn't care less anymore about anything. As someone keep telling me over and over again, try to make yourself happy no matter what and that's what I am doing now.

These are among the fun things I did and had right before and right after the semester ended, before I headed back home. :)

Was it anything like how I wanted it in my previous post?
No, I didn't even celebrate it in any way or another. It's just meant to be like how it is and I am more than happy about it.

When you talk about Facebook, it has its own good and bad.
Now,I am seeing it myself. How Facebook has taken a toll on me.
How it really affects me and my life in so many ways.
It is nothing bad though, just that I feel I need to stay away from Facebook for at least a couple of days.
Just to see how much I can control the sort of addiction I have for it.
Therefore, I have decided to stay away from Facebook from today onward.
I wanna see how long I can resist the temptation.

In life, we cannot run away from making choices and decisions.
It's a part of this little life we have where we gotta choose something over something, for our own good.
However,when you are torn and divided between two things which are equally important, what would you do? What is your plan of action?
Every choice comes with its own consequences, be it good of bad.
It is really really difficult, I know, but I thank God because I am yet to be given such a situation.
Someday, when the time comes for me to make a greatest choice in my life and everyone around me, I hope that I would be able to go through it without making a decision I would probably regret for the rest of my entire life.

Just talked to a friend whom I think I can trust.
A lot of people know I don't easily make friends and simply trust people for nothing.
I can tell from the way one talks, they way one respects me and others and the way one acts.
I believe you are one good person.
But is it another mistake for trusting another friend who might not be that trustworthy like how I think?
Hope that it's not gonna be another mistake because I trust you friend.
I don't think you are like those I have met before and I believe you are one good friend.
I won't tell you my story if you are not.

Why is 2010 special? KENAPA?

In my earlier post on December 31st, a day before 2010 crawled in, I did write about how special 2010 is.
It is definitely the year I have been waiting for.
Since I was small, I have been waiting for this year to come and now it is September, closely coming to the end of it.
But, I haven't really told anyone except my family why it is so special to me.
Nothing fantastic though.
It is just me who thinks that it is special.
It is prolly corny and cheesy, but heck. It is SPECIAL.

Basically, I am not really a birthday person.
I don't really celebrate my birthday, what more my friends'.
I don't really feel the need to celebrate my birthday with friends because I just don't feel like it.
But no offence. Birthdays are a great celebration though. I like it when people celebrate others' birthdays.
But I don't really like the idea of how these boys prank any birthday boy with lots of things which I find ridiculous and childish sometimes. Things they do to the person celebrating their birthdays are dangerous at times and it can cause injury and I totally disagree with such things. That's why I never join such activity, I will never do such things to people and in return, I expect the same respect from others too. I just think that it's a horrible thing to do to someone who is supposed to celebrate a great day of his life.
Again, it's probably fun but it's not really my thing.
That's why I decided to hide my birthday on Facebook from everybody except my family, in a hope that no one is reminded of my birthday.
If you ask me why, I have no reason in particular.
I just don't want people to really know my birthday, what more to celebrate it.
But this year's birthday is definitely a special one to me.
It's going to be special.
Why?
Because my birthday is on the 20th of October. And it is the year of 2010.

So, I've been thinking that I want to celebrate my birthday this year. How? Where? With who?

I haven't thought of that. All I know is, I want to celebrate it this year. Expecting some great gifts from friends too. LOL. Just joking. Like they would ever know and remember cos I am definitely not telling.

So, definitely gotta start thinking of some special thing to do that day. Being with the loved ones would be a great idea too.

Two week Raya break, the last one that is...

I am here at Larkin bus terminal, waiting for my 9.30pm bus.
It's not fun at all waiting all alone by yourself while some of your friends are already back at their hometown, happily having Iftar with their entire families.
And I am here alone, waiting for the bus.
Not forgetting the 7-8 excruciating hours of journey to my place, that's going to be very boring.

However, I am looking forward to this journey because it has been a while since I last took a bus for a long journey like this,
It was in 2005 when I first experienced a long journey on buses.
It was when I started my studies at then-known as MPTI, IPTI and now IPGKTM.
And here it is, it's the end of 2010, where the journey is coming to an end.
I sometimes find it hard to really believe that the 6 long years of studies which I used to see as something very painful to go through is coming to an end.
In another 7 months or so, I will no longer be known as a student or teacher trainee.
And this whole schooling thing will be over for me. (I haven't really thought of pursuing Masters or anything of that sort)
I am definitely going to badly miss the things I could do as a student. It's going to a completely different life altogether.

Last night, I had a great conversation with some friends who I started this whole journey with together.
Looking back to what we did before, how it all began, the orientation week we went through together, how everyone now looks completely different (some have grown fat, some have grown thinner than ever, some stay the same like how we first met them) and all sort of things we did and experiences we had for the last 5 years.
It's unbelievable that whenever I think of it, I am kind of sad because I will never get to go through the same thing again.
I have known some great people,some awful utterly bad people, those old friends whom I only get to start knowing them closer now.
it's hard to imagine that after going through this whole thing togetehr, we are going to be parted soon.
How sad, right?
I guess, that's life.
All I need to know is there some people and friends whom you can treasure fo life.
And I now do beelieve that there are people who you can call great true frineds.
They exist, so I am gonna keep their friendship close to my heart.
I don't wanna sound so cliche and corny, but yes, no matter how far the distance is, true friends are forever.
I am grateful and thankful to have known you people.
I am definitely going to miss you guys!

Gotta go now.
It's almost time and I definitely wouldn't want to miss my bus.
So excited to go back home to be with my Mak, abah, and my entire ridiculously loving family!

Prepaid vs Postpaid

Last year in July, I decided to try on using postpaid line because some of friends realized that I spent so much money on my prepaid,so they thought that it would be best if I switched to postpid.
So I did.
For over a year, I had been using postpaid line.
Until recently I realized that with postpaid I spent so much more than prepaid.
Maybe it's just me but I realize that using postpaid had caused me to overuse the line.

Being a student, it is very definitely not recommended for me to use so much of money on something like that because I should spend them on something more important like food, books and other necessity.
With me using Blackberry and subscribing to Blackberry Internet Service(BIS) by Maxis, I had to pay quite sum of money every month to pay for the charges.
And it just made me realize recently when I had to pay RM 190 for my phone bill, which I found very disturbing and irrelevant in that sense.
I realized that as a student, I am not supposed to be spending so much on my phone bill.
Maybe this only applies to me because I seem to be very careless about my money.

So, the realization I got from that got me into thinking that I should switch back to prepaid line.
And so I did.
I guess it would be best if I just stick to prepaid because I think it's for my good too.
I should always remind myself that I am still a student who still do not have a job and salary to pay for things which do not seem to be important at this moment.
So I guess switching back to prepaid is the best thing for me to do.
There are a lot more things coming my way soon, like my practical teaching and stuffs, which will definitely require a lot of money.
I guess I am just lucky enough to still have supportive family who still give me money when I myself think that I do not deserve it from them.
Maybe,I just need to start to realize that money don't come easily and and they don't grow on trees and start to realize every cent I have.

Block C is AWESOME Part 2

This is definitely back-blogged because obviously I have been staying at Block C for over 2 months.
But I gotta to show this because this is what makes Block C feel like HOME to me.
As you know, I am such a home-person and I feel homesick easily and immediately if I am away from home.
So block C really make it less painful for me because they have such a comfy homie-like TV room, I can watch TV and it feels just like home.

The most important part is to have a television and Astro decoder with variety of channels provided.

Oh yes, before I forget, the television set you see in the above picture is no longer the one we have.
We now have a brand new television which is super uber awesome, no other blocks have I reckon.

It is a Samsung flat screen/plasma TV whatever you call it.

This is definitely something I can brag about because other hostels do not own this. Hahahaha
Though I seldom come down to the TV room and watch the TV (due to the fact that my room is on the top floor of the building and the TV room is on the second floor), but the TV room is definitely the place to go to when I feel lonely or anything.

Boys being boys. Whenever there is a football match or badminton match or whatever sports there is on TV, the room will be full of them and you will then hear screaming and shouting of excitement and enthusiasm of watching those sports. Of course, football ~EPL especially~ would be the main cause of those screaming.
The girls may not understand this and take it as a distraction or a noise disturbance to some people, but to me that's what makes block C lively and different from the other block. We are all united in that sense. Hahahaha

I just wanna say that I am just so very happy to be here.
And I am proud to say that I am one of Block C residents!

It has been a while since I last wrote here.
After a long hiatus, I think it is time for me to write again.
During my absence for the past 2 weeks, so many things took place, so many events happened and I just do not know where to begin here.

Oh yes, I am going back next friday for Raya break.
Just so you know, the holidays have been extended to two weeks and I couldn't be any happier than that.
Though there are 2-3 major coursework waiting to be completed, I just could not think of anything else but holidays.
I want to go back home so badly that I refuse to think of anything else but that. Hahaha

And I also feel so blessed these past few months because I got to meet and make friends with a lot of people which I didn't even say Hi to before.
I guess all it takes is for you to open up your mind and expand your horizon.
Don't get stuck with the same old people/friends because that will never develop your mind, in some way.
Getting to know different people from different courses/options, it gives me a chance to learn many things and it is very refreshing to listen to people's stories and experiences.
I love listening stories from people and it is such a great honor when people trust you and are willing to share their stories with me.

I think I was too afraid of making new friends before, but now everything has changed.
It is great to have many friends around and these are the few last things I would treasure before I finish my studies in another 6-7 months from now.
You'll never get the same chance after this, when everything is over, when your life as a students is over.
So I guess I should grab this opportunity to make as much new friends as I can.
I can proudly say that I am now content with what I have and how I lead my life now.
I am happier than I ever before. :)

Hopelessly HOME-freaking-SICK

So, the ever so lovely Cik Pah came over to JB to pay us a visit yesterday. As our Coordinator back in UPM, she is responsible in keeping herself updated with the whole thing happening here. As usual, Farah, Siva and I were the most excited ones with her coming here.
There were so many stories to share with her and we just couldn't wait to see her.
After class hour, we decided to have lunch with her, and as always, like all the other people who come over and visit us here, we brought Cik Pah to the Portuguese Chicken for lunch.
There's no pictures that I can show you here though.

The best thing about her visit was that she did not come empty handed.
Just so you know, Cik Pah went to England last May and of course, it is definitely a must for her to buy us souvenirs no matter where she goes. It was such a nice gestures for her to buy us a T-Shirt each.
And I had the privilege to become the first person to choose the color of the t-shirt that I wanted.
I chose black, my favorite color, of course.

It is just some simple plain T-Shirt but it's not really a matter. (Though I heard it cost 10 pounds each)
It is the thought that matters. :-)

Memang mudah jika hendak berkata "Tiada manusia yang sempurna".

Block C is AWESOME Part 1

This is another reasons why I love the place/hostel block I am currently staying right now.
Ignore the post I wrote when I first came back to this place.
I know I am destined to be here because I am super duper in love with this block.
There is no other block which is uber cool, over the top,most actively cheerful fun outgoing block like mine.
Need a reason why?

But, what matters here is that, none of the other hostel block can top this. Not anytime soon or maybe never. Only my lovely block can pull this kind of stuffs.

With the very encouraging support and help fro our lovely most awesome warden, Mr. Raj, we were able to organize such a grand event.

The hall was fully filled with audience and crowd from different hostel blocks in the campus. AMAZING!

This block is just simply awesome and I am loving the fact that I am staying here!

And the more important thing is that I get to know some awesome most outrageous happy go lucky so very friendly friends in this block.

So awesome I wanna cry. Seriously, no joking.

Too bad that some of them are leaving soon as this is their last sem here. :'(

Oh Singapore!

I went up to Singapore today for the very first time in my life!

It was an interesting trip with some crazy friends.

Will blog and put up more pictures later because I am sooooo exhausted of walking for almost the entire day!

So, I actually was invited by Yvonne, Lucy and Ed to join this trip to Singapore.

They knew how badly I wanted to go Singapore and decided to ask me along, so I did.

Their initial plan was to go to the Singapore Zoo.

At first, I was like " Why the Zoo? Doesnt Malaysia have enough Zoos to visit?"

But, I was totally wrong.

Singapore Zoo is,by far, the coolest zoo I've ever been to in my entire life. Even Zoo Negara of Malaysia cannot come any closer to theirs.

I am not exaggerating but it is true.

Cleanliness wise, the maintenance, the very cute and adorable healthy animal, and many others.

In fact, they have so many interesting activities and shows performed by the animals which you can catch and watch live at particular time stated in the schedule.

We spent like more than 5 hours at the zoo.

I guess words don't do justice of how effing wicked their zoo is.

Let's see how much excitement and fun we had at the zoo for all these pictures!

Not only did we get to just see the parrots, but we also got to snap pics with them, for FREE!

I don't know what Yvonne was exactly doing here,haha

They actually splashed water to the audience (including me), water filled with their poopies! Euw!

They were too bored, they decided to just sleep and rest the whole day! -_-"'

Those turtles are so huge, I wanna ride on them!

At the souvenir shop!

After the long hours spent at the zoo, we went over the Orchard Road, the famous spot for tourists and also the locals to go shopping for branded stuffs, none of which I can afford!

The moment we walked out of the building, we were greeted by these amazing buildings which house lots of amazingly ridiculously impossibly high-end boutiques!

All we did was walking and wandering around, amazed and astonished by all different highly-branded boutiques along the way, from LV, Hermes, Prada, Chanel and so on. *drools*

I should have dropped by this store and checked out their underwear lines which are not available in Malaysia, I think so.

Amazingly awesome trip, no?

I don't know about everyone else but I kind of like Singapore.

All I want is to come and visit Singapore again.

My next destination?

Universal Studio, Marina Bay, and so many other intersting places there.

But not anytime soon because I can't afford to go there as often as I want to.

My sister is going to Singapore in August for a week.

Maybe I should just tag along, shouldn't I?

We'll wait and see about that.

As for now, I can proudly say that...

I have visited Singapore!

My first Boat Shoes

I guess by now everyone should already know how obsessed I am with the brand TOPMAN.

But again, it is best for everyone to know that I am not such a brand whore.

I would buy anything that catches my attention especially when I really need those stuffs.

Recently, I came across this one Boat Shoes at City Square which is brand-less, but totally and ridiculously beautiful, just like how I want it to be.

I've always wanted to get myself a pair of that when I saw the same kind of shoe from TOPMAN.

Yes! it is!
But, you know, this shoe is not available here in Malaysia.
In fact, if it truly is available, it's definitely gonna cost me a bomb, because it is so damn expensive,40 pounds darling!
That is equivalent to almost RM200.
Come on, I am not that rich, you know.

So, I decided to just settle for the ~~knock offs~~ one that looks similar to it but brand-less.
Hahahaha.
After all, who cares right?
I bought it last Tuesday and I am loving it!

Loving Block C!!!

I am writing this because I feel there is a need to inform people who are reading my blog about how I feel about the hostel I am staying at currently.

You might have read the previous post which I wrote when I first came back here.

I was so devastated to be placed at Block C, I even hated it.

Yes, it was true, and I am not denying it.

I was too used to Block H, which I had stayed at for 3 years before leaving for UPM.

I was too comfortable staying there, especially knowing the fact that it is nearer to my class.

However, things have started to change now.

After 3 weeks staying in Block C, I am starting to really understand why most people like to stay here.

The environment and surroundings are definitely totally opposite to how Block H is.

It is way more happening, the people here are much more friendly than those at the new block.

I know for a fact that most of my guys friends at at the other side at the new block, but it doesn't mean that it is going to be total boring and dull here.
My life is not as empty as I thought I would feel.

Friends here are awesome. They are very friendly, interesting bunch, helpful, and fun to be around.
I get to know lots of people which I don't think I would be able to do so if I were in Block H.
My circle of friends has expanded and it is so awesome.
More friends means happier and livelier life.
Not forgetting, I have one awesome Warden, Mr. Raj. Absolutely one awesome most respected super cool man. :)

I am now very grateful and thankful than ever.
Life would be so much different if I a at the Block H.
I guess Allah has such a great plan for me that I am destined to be placed here.

I would not ask for more.
I am currently content with what I have now.

The bottom line is.....

I LOVE BLOCK C and all the residents here!

Friends you treasure for life...

I know it 's pretty too late to write about this but I must. I insist to!

Last week on Wednesday, a bunch of girls, emmmm, and a guy friend from K12 debate team came down to Johor Bahru to pay us a visit.

It was so overwhelming because these girls drove all the way from JB just to visit us here.

We, the boys, may not be as adventurous like them.

Hats off to them especially to the most dangerously extreme driver, Ash. LOL.

We didn't get to show them around that much because you know, in Maktab, you can't stay over night outside the campus coumpound after 11, so we had to rush.

We initially wanted to bring them to the Portuguese Chicken which I wrote about earlier, but unfortunately, it was closed as soon as we reached there. T_T

Since these kiddos really wanted to see Danga Bay, we brought them over to Singgah Selalu, another famous dining spot near Danga Bay.

We took part in some football contest they had there and none of us won. Haha

So, the next day, after class ended, we immediately went to the hotel they rented for the night to bring them out, again to the Portuguese Chicken.

I didn't know why but we thought that they must try it once.

So, we went there for lunch and happy time, we were lucky this time!

And these girls actually came to our maktab before heading back to KL.

It was so kind of them, we were very touched you know?

I even heard that one of the girls actually cried on their way leaving the college.

Who could that be?

hahahaha.

These are the kind of friends you would want to treasure forever. People who truly appreciate you as friends.

They make such great companions and trust me, they are just awesome.

We felt bad for not being able to make much time for them.

but I guess, there's always a next time right?

I am curious because I think they do, though there are some isolated cases where people simply look just dumb with or without glasses on. Haha

So, emm, should I get myself a pair of glasses?

World Cup 2010

I know this is probably a little too late for me to blog about World Cup.

But, I am not really a huge fan of football! So, heck!

Anyways, World Cup 2010 just ended last night with Spain bringing back the trophy with 1-0 winning over Netherlands!

I actually watched the match last night at 2.30am until 5.15am, though I realized that I would have an assembly to attend at 7.30am, and a presentation to do after that and a 3 long hours of class later.

Hell I was good! I managed to keep myself awake.
Gee it was difficult!

So, last night was the first ever midnight football match I watched with a whole bunch of friends at my college and it was indeed an experience I've never had before.

It was sooo hilarious to see these boys trying so hard to keep their eyes open but failing.

Some fell asleep in the TV hall. Hilarious because they didn't really watch it because they were sleeping.

I think being in that TV hall was what matters to them.

At least, when someone ask them if they did catch the football match, at least they can say "yes".

It was unfortunate that I forgot to snap a picture or two. Bummer! T_T

The experience I got was something that I am gonna treasure my entire life.

This probably comes once in my whole life, because obviously my studying years are coming to an end less than a year from now.

There are so many things you have got to try doing because that will help you grow as person and see the world and your surroundings in different ways!

p/s: I am starting to love the hostel I am currently staying at! They are actually awesome! <3

This is real funny!

I don't know how and when this thing started but I have this tendency of using lots and lots of exclamation marks especially in my text message!

It is really weird because i can hardly notice it until a friend of mine actally told me about it!

That's not the end though!

I am still using it excessively until just now, a friend of mine,called me up just to ask me about it! *notice that I am using exclamation marks at the end of some of my sentence. Shit!*

As you might know, exclamation mark, !!!!!!!, has its special functions!

We learn this in school, where you know you use exclamation mark after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume, and often marks the end of a sentence.

For example, "Fuck you, bitch!!!!!" *obviously not a good example*

But, people most often use exclamation mark to show their anger to someone!

Note that, ANGER!

But, no. Don.t misundestand me people!

I use the exclamtion out of my consiousness, without even me realizing typing it out.

It's what we call fossilization.

So just now, I texted a friend to inform him about the presentation he had to do for tomorrow's classes.

Three short sentences in the sms, all ended not with full stops, but with exclamation marks!

Haha!

He immediately called me after that, asking whether I was angry at him for the use of exclamation marks in the text message.

It was hilarius, I tell you.

And I had to tell him that it meant nothing but ....NOTHING!

LOL.

Seriously, it has become some kind of habit or something, I don't know.

Perhaps, I need to really practise not to use it too often and excessively because it will definitely cause lots of confusion and misunderstanding.

I definitely wouldn't want to have problem with anyone. Haha.

So peeps, if you ever receive a wall posts or text messages from me, ignore the exclamation marks because it means merely nothing!

Unless if it does, I would definitely let you know! haha

For those who really know me, I am a very very sensitive person.

I am easily touched by a lot of things, seriously almost anything.

So when I received this postcard from Joanne and Ash, I was completely touched and I felt really really appreciated as a person.

Aside from my family, there are very few people who truly really appreciate and enjoy my company as their friend.

And this postcard makes me really really happy that I make a good friend to people.

At least, to some.

I have no idea why they chose Jacob Black for me. Seriously, I am nothing near Taylor Lautner!

One of the few gestures that really touched my heart.
